Select the qualifying Proton service or plan, activate the 14-day trial and confirm that the $20 credit is shown for your Canadian or U.S. account. Note the trial’s end date, what the credit can cover and the renewal price, and cancel or change plans before billing if you do not want to continue.
Who is Proton for?
I use Proton for email and VPN because its privacy focus is useful to me; its broader ecosystem also includes calendar, cloud storage and password-management tools. It can suit someone who wants several privacy-oriented services under one account. That does not make every paid plan necessary, and the ecosystem may integrate differently from Google, Microsoft or Apple products. I would choose only the services that solve a real need.
